I did initally debate with myself about whether to put these on my blog or not, as it sometimes feels like other bloggers' homes are SO lovely and mine is so teensy- but I am really proud of the way I have been able to stamp so much personality & colourful cosiness into such a small space.
For an idea of layout, the kitchen table with the print of the Lynch painting & fairy light flowers is directly in front of the fridge- the wall to the right of the fridge is the wall behind the picture. My sofa (not pictured because I couldn't seem to get one that looked nice, but it's lime green & amazing) is basically where I stood when taking the picture of the kitchen. The bedroom is to the left of the kitchen- it's basically a cupboard with a bed in it.
I love my flat (mostly- sometimes the lack of space can be frustrating) and I could probably get something bigger for the same money if I lived further out of the city, but what I am really paying for is the location. It's such a nice area & I live right over a coffee shop & beside an amazing deli. Maybe someday I will have a house as lovely as my last one, but for now I am proud of my little flat & the fact it is ALL MINE. Like a proper grown up!

Your flat is so cute! I always wanted to live in a flat cos it sounds so grown up! (and I spotted one of my postcards too - made my day!) xo
ReplyDeleteAw I love that postcard- pride of place! And yeah I kinda like living in a flat for that reason. Living in a flat above a coffee shop makes me feel like I am in Friends x x x
DeleteOoooh I love the flat, cozy spaces are my favorite. I'm not one for large spots :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this post! I lived with flatmates throughout my time at uni, and kinda struggled to store all my rubbish in one wee room AND prettify the space. As soon as I moved into my own flat- ahh, bliss! My flat is tiny too but like you say: what a luxury to feel like its all mine! I really like how colourful you've made your flat and shown personality. The only problem I find is having no one else to blame for all the mess. Siiiiigh. Xx new follower by the way! really liking your blog :-)
